Welcome to the latest update from Invest in America, the U.S. Department of Commerce's program to promote foreign direct investment to the United States This monthly update is meant to provide a few quick points highlighting some activities of Invest in America.

Invest in America Outreach

Invest in America will participate in:

Reports of Note

The OECD’s June issue of its investment newsletter covers the recovery of global M&A investments, the increasing openness of FDI regimes, the G-20’s efforts to keep investment flowing, and other relevant investment news. The OECD also published an update of its FDI restrictiveness index.

The latest edition of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai’s Viewpoint series focuses on foreign direct investment from China in the United States. This edition of Viewpoint investigates the positive impact that Chinese FDI has on American job creation, infrastructure development, and economic growth.

A publication from Columbia University’s Vale Center on Sustainable International Investment examines how Hungary’s outward foreign direct investment flows and investigates broader trends in Hungarian FDI. The report also asks how its policymakers address inward and outward FDI promotion.
