Join The Learning Journey

There are a number of ways to get involved in the Strengthening Brand America Project. Be part of the ongoing journey to bridge the gap between global perception and the reality of Brand America.

Here are three specific things you can consider doing:

• Increase the priority of effective place branding for your municipality, county, state or Region and improve place branding mastery within the economic organizations responsible for promoting your location. Understanding what needs to be done and how to do it is critical to enable the effective management of a place branding effort and to ensure a positive return on investment. Many place branding exercises fail not because it is wrong strategic choice, but because the economic development Organization responsible did not have an adequate understanding of how to manage the initiative.  The blog posts in this website will help you.
• Actively participate in the Strengthening Brand America Project by sharing your thoughts and ideas, and reapply best practices. You can contribute by providing feedback, recommending reading, submitting White Papers or submitting analyses for others to learn from. We will soon be posting even more comments from other experts on the importance of effective place branding (a.k.a. destination branding) as a strategy for accelerated job and wealth creation in a global economy.
• Share the information with your social network. If you see a post you like or find a helpful page share it with your colleagues.  The only way our profession gets stronger is if knowledge is freely shared.  Tweet about it, start a discussion in LinkedIn, provide a link to the information on your website, include the link in any member communication you might produce, comment about it on Facebook.  Any help you can provide to create awareness of the website as a source of information is greatly appreciated.
